Paradisus Palma Real Resort Photos
The Palma Real was built in 2005 and has 554 suites. The Palma Real receives 4 Diamonds from AAA. The resort is very large and elegant and all guests receive unlimited greens fees at the Coctal golf course (Mandatory $37 cart rental not included)(promotion subject to change). The Palma Real has meeting facilities and attracts a lot of groups. The resort itself has a nice beach and a gorgeous pool area. The resort has a large casino, theater, disco and convention center. There is a kids club at the adjacent Reserve, but the Mini club is only available to guests staying at the Reserve (all suite property across the street from the Palma Real). The resort has the typical Sol Melia Avant Garde look and attracts Europeans as well as Canadians and Americans. The Gabi Beach club is located on the beach, is open to the public (for a fee), and offers separate entertainment. Entrance, drinks, and dining is included for all guests staying at the Reserve and Royal Service guests. The resort has 8 bars serving premium brand liquors.
There are 8 restaurants at the Palma Real and 4 at the Reserve. At the Palma Real, the 8 restaurants serve the following cuisine: Buffet (with theme nights), Teppanki, Sushi, Asian, Mediterrean, French (Adults only), Caribbean Fusion, and Steakhouse. All a la carte restaurants require a reservation, but there are no limitations or restrictions. Guests can make reservations at guest services or in the Royal Service Club if they booked that room category. I was told that guests can eat at the 4 restaurants at the Reserve, except during the holiday weeks of Easter and Christmas. Other than dinner reservations, the child club, and the spa, facilities at the Reserve are strictly for guests of the Reserve.
All room categories are suites with the Jr. suite measuring 520 – 560 square feet. All suites offer DVD players, 24 hour room service, fully stocked minibars, and have large 2 person indoor Jacuzzi. The view is the primary difference. Royal Service suites are for adults only and the benefits follow: private check in, Royal Service Lounge with super premium liquors, free internet, private pool and beach area, a la carte breakfast and lunch at Ventos restaurant, preferred dinner reservations, access to and dining at Gabi Beach Club. The Master suites are 815 square feet and offer kitchen facilities. Master suites and Jr. suites can be combined to form 2 bedroom suites.
Overall, I like this resort a lot and it would be perfect for groups, weddings, golfers, and families. We get fantastic reviews, but this is a pricey resort!
