Agent Comments

I was very impressed with Dreams Puerto Aventuras.   I visited it in December of 2006 and it was a dump! The resort closed for a year and a half, and post renovation, it looks great! The resort is located in the residential community of Puerto Aventuras, 90 minutes from the Cancun Airport and 30 minutes from Tulum. The resort has 305 rooms and shares a nice cove shaped beach with the Catalonia. Like all Dreams properties, its primary demographic is families and destination weddings. The resort has 6 restaurants (Sushi, Mexican, Buffet, Seafood, Grill, and 24 hour room service) and serves premium brand liquor and American Beer (as well as a selection of Mexican Brands). The resort has a nice (but not huge) pool that was very active with music and animation staff. There is a quieter adult only pool facing the marina (not the beach). Both pools have swim up pool bars.   Dolphins were added to the lagoon in 2012 and excursions/swims are available to guests (additional fee)

The rooms are nice with view being the primary difference between the different room categories. The resort offers complimentary weddings and it has family rooms that accommodate 2 adults and 3 children.

Overall, I really liked Dreams Puerto Aventuras and offers a great value for those looking for a family friendly resort.
